Bread Delights and Vendakkai pulikuzhambu!

Hi Friends.,

I'm feeling better now! So, with my laptop posting my recipies after a long gap! Hope you all like it!


1. Sweet Egg Bread toast:



This is one of my hubby's favt snacks! Adapted from my MIL's recipe..! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1. Bread slices - 4 Cut diagonal in to half,
2. Milk - 1/2 cup,
3. Egg - 1,
4. Sugar - 3 tsp or more as u wish,
5. Salt - 1 pinch.
6. Oil - for toasting.



How to make this?

1. In a bowl mix the milk, egg, salt and sugar together well.
2. Heat a pan, dip the bread slices in the egg-milk mixture and put on the heat pan and sprinkle oil on the sides.
3. Cook well both the sides till golden brown.

Enjoy the delicious toast in tea time..!;)


2. Bread Manchurian:

Delicious spicy manchurian ready in minutes.. Try and enjoy!



Ingredients:

1. Bread slices - 4 cut in to bite-sized pieces,
2. Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp,
3. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp,
4. Onion - 1 chop lengthwise finely,
5. Tomato - 1/2 chop finley,
6. Curry leaves - 1 string,
7. Garam masala powder - 1 tsp,
8. Salt - as per taste,
9. Oil - for frying,
10. Cinnamon - 1 stick,
11. Clove - 1,
12. Red food colour - 1 pinch(Optional).

How to make this?

1. Heat oil in kadai, fry the bread pieces till nice crispy golden brown.
2. Drain the oil from the kadai, with little oil in medium flame add the cinnamon and cloves.
3. Add the onions and curry leaves and saute well till transparent. Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
4. Add the tomatoes and saute well till they get mashed. Add the garam masala, red chilly powder, salt, red food colour and saute well till the masala cooks well.
5. Add the fried bread pieces and mix well till the masala coats well.

Serve this manchurian hot with tea..! Enjoy!


3. Vendakkai pulikuzhambu:

This is one of my favourite kuzhambu. Yummy tangy!!;)



Ingredients:

1. Vendakkai(Lady's finger) - 3 chop in to 1/2 inch pieces,
2. Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp,
3. Pearl onions - 4 chop finely,
4. Tomato - 1 chop finely,
5. Tamarind juice - 1/2 cup,
6. Curry leaves - 1 string,
7. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp,
8. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp,
9. Coriander powder - 2 tsp,
10. Oil - as required,
11. Salt - as per taste.

How to make this?
1. Heat oil in kadai, fry the lady's finger for 5mins till it shrinks and fries well. Take them out.
2. Pour a little oil in the same kadai, add the fengreek seeds and saute till brown. Add the chopped onions, curry leaves and saute well. Add tomatoes and saute till they get mashed.
3. Now add the fried lady's finger and red chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, sambar powder, salt and saute well till the raw flavour goes.
4. Add the tamarind juice and enough water to cook. Leave it to boil well.
5. When the curry thickens and sprinkle oil on top and adjust taste if needed.

Delicious kuzhambu ready to taste with steaming rice and papadam..!;)
