Fall In Love with fruits for this season..!

Hi dears..!

My health is now normal, baby has started growing.. Also, my body has started adapting to the new change..! Can't sit without blogging, so here i'am to peep in and continue hosting the event and enjoy!!;)

Fall In Love(FIL) - Fruits:

Ya, Fruits are colourful, healthy, cool and delicious!! Fall in love with them and send me whatever you can do with these juicy fruits.. They may be simple smoothies, delicious pudding, pie, or a yummy fresh salad..! come on..! Get on ur toes and rush your entries..!

LOGO: (You are welcome to use it)!

I'm picking the most simple daily-use ingredients, as my aim is to make everyone participate and share their dish with love

FIL - An Event to fall in love with food and cooking. Merging both to give away a dish out of full love.

My idea here is to see the inner love and convert the interest and exploit the talent in giving the dish of most love, finally dedicate it to someone whom you love

What is this event about?

1. I will be giving each month a ‘simple ingredient’ used in daily cooking which falls in categories like veggies, fruits, meat, cereal & pulses, dairy products, spices, flour etc.
2. You have to take that ingredient and prepare a dish with the ingredient as main component, which turned out so well that you literally fell in love with it. It can be a dish someone prepared for you too, you try out the same and publish in your blog.
3. Choose a lovable person you would like to dedicate your most loved recipe and write a few pleasing lines on why you chose them.

SMALL LOGO:

RULES FOR THE EVENT:

1. Post a dish/smoothie in your blog with " FRUIT as the main ingredient".

2. Send me a mail to sanghifoodevents@gmail.com with,
~ Your name.
~ Blog name.
~ Name of the dish/smoothie.
~ URL of the recipe.
~ One clear picture of the final recipe.
~ Your Dedication
.

3. Archived entries should be reposted with the event linked back.

4. Non-bloggers too can participate in this event. Simply send in your recipe as an email to me with a photograph.

4. The last date for sending your entries is ‘Dec 20th’.

Expecting your delicious heathy, juicy delights...!

A recipe for you from my Sister-in-law..!

1. SIL style Milagu poondu kuzhambu:

Delicious tangy peppery curry to be relished at all times, especially in rainy season as this..! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1. Garlic cloves - 10,
2. Pearl onions - 8,
3. Tomato - 1 chopped finely,
4. Tamarind juice - 1/2 cup,
5. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp,
6. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp(or more as ur wish),
7. Coriander powder - 2 tsp,
8. Curry leaves - 1 string,
9. Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp,
10. Salt - as needed,
11. Oil - as needed.

To roast and grind:

1. Black peppercorns - 2 tsp,
2. Toor dhal - 2 tsp.

How to make this?

1. Heat 1/2 tsp oil in kadai, roast the pepper and toor dhal till the pepper cracks and the dhal releases its flavour and browns a little. Cool and grind in to a fine powder.
2. Heat oil in kadai, add the fenugreek seeds, let them splutter. Add the garlic, onions and curry leaves and saute well.
3. Add the tomatoes and saute till they get mashed. Add the turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, salt and the roasted pepper-dhal powder as needed. Saute this well till the raw flavour goes.
4. Add the tamarind juice and enough water and leave it to boil in medium flame.
5. Sprinkle oil on top and cook in medium flame till the curry thickens and adjust taste if needed.

Delicious milagu poondu kuzhambu ready to be relished with appalam, poriyal/boiled egg..! Enjoy!;)

My dear friend Aruna has passed a beautiful award marking the success of reaching 50 posts..! Congrats and thanks dear!

Hope You all enjoyed the post dears..! Expecting your delicious entries and support as usual for the event! Enjoy blogging!;)

Hey Sanghi!
Congrats da! Great news. I hope you are done with morning sickness. How are you doing now? Eat lot of veggies and fruits. Start your afternoon meal with paruppu sadam and nei and then continue with your menu of the day. Its believed that the spiceness in other food mellowd down as the lentil forms a layer around your stomach. Takecare. Hugs! So happy for you.
